At Baselworld 2010 Breitling has revealed new Superocean timepieces. As a born diver, it is water-resistant to 1.500 meters. Familiar with Breitling dressy appearance, I believe you will feel a little surprised at the new Superocean with sporty casual look. I think the new Breilting Superocean will attract many younger people who want a nice timepiece for every day use that looks not too dressy
As you can see in the picture, there are large appliqué numerals, hour markers and oversized superluminova hands for easier view underwater standing proudly against the black abyss dial, which is encircled by a blue, yellow, red, silvered or black beveled flange. The impressive dial is protected double-sided anti-reflective convex sapphire crystal. Here you will find gone is the stainless bezel. The freshness of new Superocean relies on the rubber-moulded unidirectional rotaing bezel featuring the slopping numerals. The solid steel case measures 42mm, which is not changed from before. Inside the watch is the Breitling 17 calibre automatic movement which is COSC-certified, with 25 jewels and 28.800 vib/h. And it is such a hi-tech timepiece that has all attributes of a professional instrument, like the safety valve that automatically releases the accumulated helium when the internal over-pressure reaches around 3 bar. The watch is completed with a cool “port hole” rubber strap. However, Breitling of course knows more choices more fun. New Superocean is available in steel strap as well. And It looks nice in full steel design and absolutely another feeling.
