Audemars Piguet has released a new watch. As a watch lover I just can’t wait to review the watch that Audemars Piguet offers to us in 2010.The new Audemars Piguet Millenary Chronograph watch shown in the picture has a vey eye-catching dial which has extravagant combination of Roman numerals for the main dial and Arabic numerals for the tachymetric scale.
The original Millenary chronograph was available in a combination of chocolate brown tachymetric scale, black chronograph section with silvered totalizers and then again brown inner dial segment. These were contrasted with blue and rose gold-colored numerals.
The new iteration of the watch has the main color scheme changed for anthracite black, silver and then again black for the outer, middle and inner parts of the case. While the Latin numerals of the main dial remain rose gold (that slightly decreases contrast, but I could live with that) but the Arabic numerals are (finally!) painted white. The chronograph central second hand is now also painted in a standard bright-red color.
Together with a matt-brown crocodile strap, the watch looks well-balanced and even elegant, while maintaining its sporty character, as it should have been from the very beginning.
